《夏日里的最后一朵玫瑰》是一首爱尔兰民谣中名曲中的名曲。曲调美妙而忧伤。描写了美好的时光如夏日最后一朵玫瑰般慢慢地凋零、枯萎，只有在回忆里重温旧日纯真。普希金写道：“那逝去的一切，将变成美好的回忆。”
曲子来源于18世纪爱尔兰贵族出身的游吟诗人们的吟唱音乐，歌词有数种，也曾冠名《普拉内的森林》《海特城堡》等。1813年，诗人托马斯.摩尔看到夏日开败的玫瑰花，而为此曲写下了新词，并使用此曲名一直到今天。作为非英语歌曲，能够这么广泛的流传于世界各地，可见此曲子的魅力。
