It is the Desiderate found in Old St.Paul's Church in Baltimore in 1693I have framed and read this beautiful document periodically.You may,as much as i do, find it uplifting during these time of endless pain of REBORN.
“Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender be on good terms with all persons’”
在喧闹而奔忙的世界中平静地往前走这是多么和平、安宁你要与周围所有的人友好相处尽可能不要放弃这种努力和追求
“Speak your truth, quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story”
你要轻轻却要清晰地说出自己的真实思想并且耐心倾听别人含糊甚至烦人的想法因为每个人都有他们自己的故事
“Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself”
你要远远避开那些吵闹、具有侵略性的人他们会使你的精神痛苦如果你将自己与他人作比那么你将变得既自负又痛苦因为这世上永远有着比你强和比你弱的人们

所以你要与上帝和平相处不论你觉得他身在何方也不论你作出何种努力、有什么渴望在喧闹、混杂的生活中你应该与你的心灵和平相处尽管这世上有很多假冒和欺骗有很多单调乏味的工作和众多破灭的梦幻它仍然是一个美好的世界
